Very similar kitchen cabinet door styles and finishes have accounted for the vast majority of kitchen sales for the past 15 years.
75% of home owners chose shaker and simple recessed panel door styles in white and off-white finishes in our region from 2010 to 2024. Interestingly, this year, we are seeing some new and unusual door style selections. Plus, a full palette of colors are being selected in nearly half the kitchens we design. At last, kitchen cabinet door styles and finishes have become diverse!
Below is a typical kitchen with the most popular color and style choices from the last decade:

Even very complex and detailed kitchens featured similar kitchen cabinet door styles and finishes like the one below:

Compare these kitchens to some of the new door styles and finishes featured by the cabinet brands that Main Line Kitchen Design carries.
Cubitac, one of the brands that Main Line Kitchen Design carries, just released the door style and finish below. Cubitac is a very reasonably priced well made brand. The door style is a creative take on the skinny shaker door style that has also become popular of late. The Moss color hasn’t been popular for some time – it’s good to see it growing in popularity.

Below is a 22 color palette of the colors available from Fabuwood. Fabuwood is another high quality and very affordable brand Main Line Kitchen Design carries.

Alternatively, Plain & Fancy a top tiered full custom cabinet brand Main Line Kitchen Design designs in and sells. Some of the unusual door styles they offer are below.

Notice that the grain continues between the cabinet door and drawer front.

The center panel is a rounded vertical reed

Plain & Fancy’s Chatham style, below, is very similar to the Cubitac Artisan door style. Often similar styles are available in less expensive cabinet lines with no compromise in quality. The higher end cabinet lines do offer many options not available in the less expensive ones.

Contemporary styling is also becoming more popular, particularly in Plain & Fancy. See two representative Plain & Fancy contemporary kitchens below. European frameless full access cabinetry is as popular as framed cabinetry in the Plain & Fancy brand.

Fabuwood offers a range of these increasingly asked for cutting edge colors and durable construction at affordable prices. For example, a new Fabuwood color Desert Oak on the Fabuwood shaker Galaxy door style is below.
It is more important than ever to work with knowledgeable kitchen designers and cabinet dealers. We’re excited to help you with your upcoming remodel.

Thanks Ricardo,
It’s funny but often the highest end luxury kitchens will be very impractical due to the selections the customers insist on. For example, often they use marble countertops that damage almost instantly if they are actually used. Or, I once had a $300,000 kitchen where the only wall cabinets in the home were located in the butlers pantry 50 feet away from the primary sink. We also had a customer that spent $165,000 on their European appliances and all the ovens in their kitchen were too small to fit a Pizza or a Thanksgiving turkey.
Hopefully your luxury kitchens aren’t as impractical as the kitchens our customers without budget restrictions often insist on.
