Wren kitchens closed all their US locations including the locations that were inside Home Depots.
When Wren Kitchens closed abruptly at 3pm Thursday, April 23rd, all their employees were terminated and their US operations ceased to exist. Unfortunately, customers who ordered from Wren and haven’t received cabinets appear to have lost their deposits. When Wren Kitchens closed, many Wren customers had paid in full for cabinetry that they will never receive. Customers that purchased Wren Kitchens in the past now have no warranty on their cabinets.
As of this blog, not only is Wren Kitchens not refunding customer deposits but The Home Depot is also referring customers who ordered Wren Kitchens inside Home Depots to contact Wren for refunds and information. The Wren website shows the page below:

Main Line Kitchen Design has always thought that Wren was was a bad place to buy kitchen cabinetry. SEE THIS BLOG. But we also believed that the closure was inevitable because of the Wren business model.
My LinkedIn post expresses my disappointment with the cabinet and kitchen design community for it’s sympathies for Wren employees and not for their customers! Link below:

Whew!! I am outside of Main Line Kitchens territory but had discovered your website when I was starting to plan my kitchen renovation. I began with Wren, and they had an impressive showroom and great looking products. After finding Main Line’s website, I reached out to Paul who was so helpful and nice and who advised me strongly against Wren, and suggested CNC based on my budget. I went with his recommendation and my beautiful new kitchen was just completed. Now I feel like I really dodged a bullet!!!
Thank you so much, Paul. I sing your praises and recommend your website and excellent advice to everyone I know who’s considering a kitchen renovation.

Wow Lyn. I didn’t like Wren or their business model but I thought that they would have lasted longer considering how much was invested in their US expansion. I’m glad you weren’t caught in there failure. I’ve already spoken with several Wren customers that lost their deposits and cabinets. I heard that they were taking deposits right up until the moment they announced their closure.

Paul,
All I had to do was read a few customer reviews to realize they were a very very bad option for people who were planning new kitchens. Out of curiosity I had thought of dropping into one of their showrooms to just see what they were pitching but I never had the time. I feel bad for those who lost out. I didn’t realize they were working with Home Depot….another red flag in my book. Too bad my small home is too far away from your location. (Putnam County, New York State…the Hudson Valley area.
