Crazy Construction Mistakes

Check Out These Construction Blunders

The Knotthink family has several members who are in design or building. Guy Knotthink, the family patriarch, is now retired but his son Will Knotthink is a general contractor and Will’s sister May Knotthink is an interior designer.  Will’s other sister, Ivana Knotthink is an architect. I’ve selected several photos of actual projects from the family’s portfolio that show some of their crazy construction mistakes.

Some of the Knotthink family’s most distinctive work is evidenced in bathrooms:

a door that is installed incorrectly. construction mistake         door hinged incorrectly. construction mistake.

sink faucet installed incorrectly

Kitchens are common projects with construction mistakes as well:

poorly designed kitchen

doors opening into each other

The most dramatic construction mistakes all come from architect, Ivana Knotthink’s portfolio:

driveway installed too steep. Major construction mistake.

pole installed incorrectly construction mistake

Here’s one of Ivana’s projects as seen from Google Earth:

poorly designed layout
Federal building

Although the Knotthink family has traced their ancestry back over 500 years it still remains only speculation that this famous building was constructed by a Knotthink ancestor:

building constructed unevenly. Leaning tower of Pisa. Construction mistake?

Oh, who ever heard of a fake photo? I was a little unsure of the swastika-shaped development.

The funny part is that the swastika is actually a US government building complex. Several people have recognized it.

I have seen most of these things in person with the exception of the crazy steep driveway. I wonder if that photo is a fake?
